Why this happens
NordVPN's direct-billing procedure uses Nord Account's billing controls and produces an auto-renewal state. The useful evidence is that this state reads Off for the correct product, together with the confirmation email. An active VPN connection during the remaining paid term does not by itself mean another payment is scheduled.
What to do
- Open Nord Account and Billing for the account on the receipt.
- Choose the cancellation control for the relevant auto-renewal and complete the confirmation.
- Reopen the subscription record, verify Off and save the email plus the paid-through date.
Check the result
If the receipt came from an app store, inspect the store's renewal status instead. A direct-account setting cannot be assumed to control a separately sold store subscription.
