How to Cancel Dashlane Subscription

Cancel a personal Dashlane plan through its biller. Plan for password access before your paid period ends.

This guide covers personal plans. Export passwords securely before expiry if you are moving to another manager; treat an unencrypted export as sensitive.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Dashlane

Purchased directly from Dashlane

  1. For a website card payment, open Dashlane in a desktop browser.
  2. Open the Vault menu, choose Subscription, then Cancel your subscription.
  3. Select Continue cancellation and complete the process.
  4. Check the final paid-access date and any refund-request option.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Dashlane, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Dashlane, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Paid with PayPal

  1. Follow the PayPal cancellation link in Dashlane’s official guidance.
  2. Find the Dashlane automatic payment, cancel it, and keep the confirmation.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The paid plan lasts through the billing period.
  • Dashlane says expired accounts retain data for export only; normal password viewing and editing are no longer available.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Can I cancel website billing in the mobile app?

Dashlane says the website-card cancellation control is available in a computer browser.

Will cancellation delete my vault?

No. Deleting the account is a different action and removes its data.
