How to Cancel LingQ Subscription

Downgrade a directly billed LingQ Premium plan to Free and continue until the dated confirmation appears.

Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel LingQ

Purchased directly from LingQ

  1. In a web browser, open your profile picture, Settings and Account.
  2. Beside Current Tier, select Change plan.
  3. Choose Downgrade to Free and finish every prompt.
  4. Return to Account and look for Changing to Free on followed by a date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select LingQ, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select LingQ, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The date beside Current Tier is when Premium access ends. Store purchases must be canceled through the store that bills them.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Is selecting a new duration the same as canceling?

No. The plan screen offers duration changes as well as a Free downgrade. Choose Free and complete the entire flow if future paid renewal should stop.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
