How to Cancel RescueTime Subscription
Cancel a RescueTime paid subscription from Billing settings while retaining access through the current paid cycle.

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel RescueTime
Purchased directly from RescueTime
- Sign in to the RescueTime account that receives the invoices.
- Open Account Settings and Billing.
- Select Cancel my subscription on the right side.
- Complete the prompts and save the subscription’s end date and status.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Paid features remain available through billing-period end, and automatic renewal stops.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Where can I compare a later charge with my billing history?
The Billing page links to past invoices. Save the last invoice and cancellation confirmation so support can identify the specific period and payment.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
