Cancel Google One or delete the service: choose the intended action

Why this happens

Google distinguishes membership cancellation from deleting the Google One service. If your goal is simply to stop recurring storage payments, use the cancellation route first and inspect its end date. Broader deletion actions have a different purpose and should not be used as a workaround for an unexplained billing screen.

What to do

1. Identify the owner account and original billing provider, then open the plan's cancellation controls.
2. Review when storage benefits end and how the lower allowance affects Gmail, Drive and Photos.
3. Save the final cancellation confirmation and check that renewal stopped without making an unnecessary service-deletion request.
