Why this happens
Hulu's deletion guidance calls for handling subscriptions and bundles first. This is particularly important when another company controls payments. The deletion of a viewing account and the end of the seller's contract are different records, so preserve the latter before removing the former.
What to do
- Check Payment Information and establish whether Hulu or a partner bills the plan.
- Cancel the relevant subscription or bundle through that provider and retain the cancellation confirmation and effective date.
- Review Hulu's separate deletion instructions only after you have accounted for recurring billing and any connected package.
Check the result
If you already deleted the account, use the receipt to contact the actual billing provider. A deletion email alone is not a substitute for confirmation that an external recurring payment has stopped.
