Why this happens
Hulu can offer a pause before the last cancellation step. If you leave the flow there, the subscription's resulting status is uncertain. A completed cancellation should be checked against the account message and confirmation email, rather than inferred from seeing a retention offer.
What to do
- Open Account and find Your Subscription in the account that Hulu bills.
- Choose Cancel, continue past the pause offer with Continue to Cancel, and complete Cancel Subscription.
- Reopen the account and look for the message that the subscription will be canceled, along with the email and effective date.
Check the result
Keep the final confirmation. Paid access may remain until the billing cycle ends, so being able to watch afterward is not enough to determine whether cancellation succeeded.
