Twitch Don't Renew Subscription: what to verify afterward

For a recurring channel subscription, the stop-renewal control should leave an expiry at the end of the paid period.

Published ยท Based on linked provider guidance

Why this happens

Twitch distinguishes stopping the next renewal from immediately removing the current paid benefits. This means a badge or subscriber access can remain after a successful cancellation. Verify the selected channel and billing route, especially if subscriptions were purchased both on the web and through a mobile store.

What to do

  1. Open Subscriptions and locate the channel whose recurring purchase you want to stop.
  2. Use its subscription settings and Don't Renew Subscription, or the original store's controls for a store-managed purchase.
  3. Check the resulting expiry and save the cancellation record for that exact channel.

Check the result

Continued channel benefits before expiry are not proof that renewal is still active. Investigate an actual later charge using its receipt rather than testing only whether the subscriber badge remains visible.
