Twitch gifted subscription or recurring purchase: identify the item

Why this happens

Twitch's purchase guidance separates subscription types. A visible subscriber benefit alone does not tell you whether you are the payer or whether that particular benefit renews. The right task is to identify the actual paid item rather than cancel an unrelated recurring subscription in the same account.

What to do

1. Inspect the channel subscription details and the receipt, if you paid, to determine whether the item was gifted or recurring.
2. Check the matching purchase's renewal status and original seller instead of inferring it from a badge.
3. If it is your recurring subscription, use its non-renewal controls and save the expiry; otherwise review the gift's displayed duration and terms.

Check the result

If a charge is unexplained, ask Twitch support to match the transaction reference to its product. Receiving a gift does not by itself explain a separate payment on your card.
