Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

How to cancel Backblaze Computer Backup
Purchased directly from Backblaze Computer Backup
- Create an independent copy of every file you need from the cloud backup.
- In the web console, open Computer Backup, then Preferences and select Delete Backup for the chosen machine.
- Enter the emailed confirmation code and continue only after reviewing the irreversible deletion.
- Open Computer Backup, then Overview, and delete the corresponding unused license; repeat for other canceled machines.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Deleting a backup immediately and irreversibly removes its data. Deleting the unused license is a separate billing step; B2 Cloud Storage has its own cancellation process.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

The documented route requires removing the registered backup and license in the web console, not only uninstalling software.
