How to Cancel Carbonite Safe Subscription

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Carbonite Safe
Purchased directly from Carbonite Safe
- Sign in at account.carbonite.com.
- Open Subscriptions and locate the intended Safe plan.
- Under Manage, choose Options.
- Select Turn OFF Auto-Renewal and save the resulting expiry information.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Existing features remain until expiration. The guide says backed-up data is permanently removed after 30 days of expiration; restore needed files beforehand.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Does this also cancel a separate Webroot plan?
No. The help page points to separate renewal instructions for standalone Webroot subscriptions. Check both products if both appear on your bills.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
