How to Cancel Balance Subscription

Finish Balance’s cancellation in the billing portal or mobile store; the in-app instructions are not always the last step.

Before you cancel

Match the receipt to Apple, Google, or web billing. A lifetime purchase does not automatically cancel an older recurring plan.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Balance

Purchased directly from Balance

  1. For web billing, open Balance, Profile, Settings, then Account Status.
  2. Choose Cancel subscription, select a reason, and continue.
  3. On Cancellation instructions, select Manage Subscription to open billing.
  4. Choose Cancel Subscription there and confirm Yes, cancel.
  5. Save the final status and effective date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Balance, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Balance, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Check the resulting subscription record. If you bought lifetime access, stopping the earlier renewal does not remove that lifetime entitlement.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Can I stop after the in-app survey?

No. For web billing, continue into the billing page and confirm there.

I bought lifetime access. Why cancel the old plan?

Balance instructs you to cancel the existing trial or subscription separately to avoid its automatic renewal.
