How to Cancel CyberGhost VPN Subscription

Stop CyberGhost automatic billing through its account page or the store that collected your payment.

Before you cancel

Identify direct, Apple, Google Play, or Amazon billing from the receipt.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel CyberGhost VPN

Purchased directly from CyberGhost VPN

  1. For a website purchase, open your CyberGhost account and profile menu.
  2. Select Subscriptions, then Cancel Subscription.
  3. Choose Continue To Cancel.
  4. Save the screen confirming automatic billing is off and the subscription end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select CyberGhost VPN, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select CyberGhost VPN, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • You can keep using the VPN through the paid period. Cancellation does not delete the account.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
