Before you cancel
Cancel at least one day before the next payment. Export important glossaries, saved translations, and style rules: they become inaccessible after deactivation and are deleted after 90 days.

How to cancel DeepL
Purchased directly from DeepL
- Sign in to your DeepL account and open Subscription.
- Select the plan you want to end and choose Cancel subscription.
- Confirm and check that its status is Canceled.
- Save the termination date and billing-period end displayed in the account.
Billed by Apple
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Select DeepL, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
- Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.
A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.
Open provider pageMake sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Paid or trial access lasts to its scheduled end. Cancelling a base subscription also cancels its add-on; add-ons can be cancelled separately.
Cancellation and refunds
DeepL does not normally credit unused time when a subscription is terminated early. Request a payment-specific review from the billing provider.

What if I bought through a partner?
Contact that partner. A direct DeepL account cannot manage every reseller purchase.
When will the confirmation email arrive?
DeepL says it sends the termination email when the subscription reaches its termination date. Check the account status immediately.
