How to Cancel Dropout Subscription

Cancel Dropout through Billing and Subscription or your original app store. Continue past the pause offer if you want renewal stopped.

Before you cancel

Check the original signup channel. A website purchase must be canceled on the website, even if you normally watch through an app.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Dropout

Purchased directly from Dropout

  1. Sign in on the Dropout website and open settings from your avatar.
  2. In Billing and Subscription, select Manage Subscription, then the cancellation option.
  3. Choose No thanks, I want to cancel rather than a temporary pause, then Continue.
  4. Finish with Confirm Cancellation. Check for Canceled in settings and the confirmation email.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Dropout, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Dropout, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Billed by Roku

  1. Use Roku’s subscription-management instructions with the Roku account on your receipt.
  2. Select Dropout, cancel renewal, and save the confirmation and expiry date.

Billed by Amazon

  1. Open Amazon’s subscription-management instructions and sign in to the purchasing account.
  2. Find Dropout, finish the cancellation prompts, and check that renewal is disabled.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Viewing access lasts until the next charging cycle after successful cancellation.
  • A pause postpones renewal for the selected time; it does not permanently stop recurring billing.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

What if I did not receive the email?

Check the subscription status in settings. If it is not Canceled, contact official support.

Can I cancel a website purchase in the TV app?

No. Dropout directs website subscribers back to the website.
