Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel NewsBlur

Purchased directly from NewsBlur

  1. Sign in to the NewsBlur website.
  2. Open Manage, then Account.
  3. Review the current subscription and choose cancellation rather than another paid tier.
  4. Complete the billing flow shown and save its final status and effective date.
Open provider page

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The official FAQ says cancellation returns the account to Free. Training and saved stories remain; the free tier has a 64-site limit.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Do I need to delete my account to stop paying?

No. The FAQ describes subscription cancellation separately and says reading data is retained. Review the Free limits and keep an independent feed export before changing plans.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
