How to Cancel Puck Subscription

Stop Puck renewal from My Account using Cancel Plan. Check that you are signed into the paid account rather than a free account with another email.

Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Puck

Purchased directly from Puck

  1. Sign in to Puck using the subscription email.
  2. Open My Account and confirm that it is the paid membership.
  3. Select Cancel Plan and complete the cancellation.
  4. Keep the result and check that the plan will not renew for the following cycle.
Open provider page

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • If the account appears free despite a receipt, contact fritz@puck.news to locate the paid account before the renewal date.

Cancellation and refunds

Puckโ€™s FAQ states that cancellation prevents renewal for the following cycle and refunds are not offered. Report an apparent billing error separately.

Common questions

Why does My Account show a free account?

Puck notes that some readers have accounts under multiple email addresses. Compare the signed-in email with the purchase receipt and ask its concierge to resolve the mismatch.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
