How to Cancel Readly Subscription

Cancel Readly through your customer account or the third party that bills you, checking the final access date.

Before you cancel

Find the subscription receipt and allow time before renewal. Downloaded issues are subscription access, not permanently owned purchases.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Readly

Purchased directly from Readly

  1. For direct web billing, sign in to your Readly customer account.
  2. Open My account and the package/subscription area.
  3. Select Cancel my subscription and complete the confirmation.
  4. Save the status and end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Readly, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Readly, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Access ends with the cancelled subscription, including content previously downloaded for offline reading.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

What if another company sold the subscription?

Readly directs you to cancel with that vendor.

Can I keep reading downloaded issues after expiry?

The service terms say access to previously read or downloaded content ends with the subscription.
