How to Cancel SoundCloud Go+ Subscription

Cancel SoundCloud Go or Go+ from browser subscription settings for a direct purchase, or through the app store that billed it.

Before you cancel

Check whether the plan is a listener subscription or an Artist plan. Artist distribution and monetization have different consequences from Go+ listening.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel SoundCloud Go+

Paid on the SoundCloud website

  1. Sign in in a browser and open Subscriptions.
  2. Choose Edit beside the current listener plan.
  3. Select Opt-out of your current plan and complete the final cancellation.
  4. Refresh the page and check for EXPIRES beside the billing date.

Billed by Apple

  1. Open the Apple subscriptions list for the Apple Account on your receipt and select SoundCloud.
  2. Choose the cancellation option, complete confirmation, and record the expiry date.

Use this route only when Apple billed the purchase. A website payment made on an iPhone is not necessarily an App Store subscription.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play subscriptions using the Google account on your receipt and select SoundCloud.
  2. Complete cancellation and check the resulting subscription status.

If the plan is missing, compare the receipt with your other Google accounts before trying a different billing route.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Go benefits remain until the paid cycle ends.
  • The account then returns to free, ad-supported listening.

Cancellation and refunds

SoundCloud says it does not refund delivered subscription periods. An Apple- or Google-billed payment must be reviewed with the respective store.

SoundCloud directs direct-purchase cancellations to a desktop or mobile browser.

How do I know the website cancellation worked?

The subscription page should show EXPIRES after you refresh it. Save that date.
