How to Cancel Minnesota Star Tribune Subscription

Cancel digital-only Star Tribune access in Member Center. Print subscriptions use a cancellation request or customer service.

Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Minnesota Star Tribune

Purchased directly from Minnesota Star Tribune

  1. For direct digital billing, log in and open Member Center.
  2. Choose Subscriptions and open the Manage menu for the plan.
  3. Select cancellation and complete the request.
  4. For print delivery, use the official article’s online cancellation form or call 612-673-4343; keep the result.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Minnesota Star Tribune, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Minnesota Star Tribune, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The guide says phone requests take effect when received and online requests within seven days. Ask about the final delivery, account balance and access end date.

Cancellation and refunds

The provider describes refunds for unused prepaid service, with exceptions for certain promotional incentives. A balance for service already supplied remains due; ask support for the calculation.

Common questions

Will canceling print also affect digital access?

Yes, subscriber digital access included with print is revoked when cancellation is processed. Apple or Google subscriptions must be canceled through the relevant store.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
