Why this happens
Apple's cancellation guidance includes subscriptions billed through Google Play. The listening app can therefore be separate from the store that manages renewal. Looking only in Apple Account subscriptions can miss a Play-managed purchase, while an empty Play list can simply mean you bought elsewhere.
What to do
- Find the Apple Music receipt and identify whether Apple, Google Play or another provider issued it.
- For a Play purchase, open Google Play subscriptions using the purchasing Google account; for an Apple purchase, use that Apple Account's subscription controls.
- Cancel the matching Apple Music item and verify its end date in the same billing system.
Check the result
Save the store's confirmation. Removing Apple Music from Android, or signing out of the app, does not establish that the seller stopped the recurring subscription.
