Why this happens
Apple explains that Apple Music streaming and tracks downloaded under the subscription stop being usable when membership access ends. Continued listening during a remaining paid period does not make those downloads permanent purchases. Keep the distinction between subscription content and separately owned music clear when reviewing your library.
What to do
- Check the Apple Music subscription's confirmed expiry date in the billing account.
- Identify music obtained through subscription downloads separately from items you purchased outright.
- Keep any information about playlists or your library that you need before the paid access expires, then verify renewal is still stopped.
Check the result
Do not delete your whole music library as a cancellation step. The billing outcome is established by the subscription status; the availability of a downloaded subscription track can change when that period ends.
