Why this happens
Audible's pre-cancellation guidance distinguishes Apple and Google membership credits from web membership credits. You still need to cancel through the correct seller and inspect each credit's source. A mixed history of purchases makes a blanket statement that all credits disappear, or all remain, unreliable.
What to do
- Read the receipt to identify the current membership's billing provider and inspect the credit history for their origins.
- Follow Apple or Google subscription controls when that store sold the membership, and read the access end date in its confirmation.
- Recheck the Audible account after cancellation and retain the credit details and receipts for any discrepancy.
Check the result
For a disputed missing credit, provide Audible its origin and the cancellation record. Keep this separate from a refund request, which the original seller handles under its own policy.
