Why this happens
Audible distinguishes purchased audiobooks from titles included in a membership catalogue and Standard monthly selections. Purchased books remain available, while access tied to the membership can end. Seeing a title in the library therefore does not establish that it is a permanent purchase.
What to do
- Check the plan and marketplace, then distinguish purchase receipts from titles accessed only through an included catalogue or Standard selection.
- Read the membership's cancellation screen for when those subscription benefits will end.
- Complete cancellation and retain purchase receipts for books you expect to keep, rather than relying on a download alone as ownership evidence.
Check the result
If a purchased title becomes unavailable, use its purchase reference with Audible support. Do not assume that every missing included title indicates a failed cancellation or an incorrect charge.
