Why this happens
Notion's plan-change flow lets you choose Free and confirm the downgrade. Its effective date is the useful evidence that the change is scheduled. Continuing to use a paid feature before that date does not by itself mean the plan will renew, and switching to a different workspace can show a different plan.
What to do
- Select the workspace you downgraded and open its Billing settings.
- Compare the scheduled plan change and effective date with the confirmation from Change plan and Downgrade.
- Prepare for Free limits before that date and later verify the same workspace's resulting plan.
Check the result
If the settings still show an ordinary renewal with no scheduled change, revisit the flow or ask Notion support to clarify. Keep the specific workspace name with the confirmation to avoid confusing separate subscriptions.
