All cancellation problems

Notion still bills you after a downgrade: inspect other workspaces

Notion charges each workspace separately. Downgrading one does not cancel another workspace's paid plan.

Why this happens

A single Notion login can switch between workspaces with different billing arrangements. The workspace currently displayed in the sidebar may therefore be unrelated to the invoice you are investigating. Match the workspace and owner before making another plan change, especially when several teams share the same login.

What to do

  1. Read the invoice to identify the billed workspace and compare it with the workspace selected in Notion.
  2. Open that workspace's Settings and Billing to inspect its current plan and scheduled changes.
  3. If it is the unwanted paid plan, use Change plan to choose Free and complete the downgrade, saving its effective date.

Check the result

Keep a separate record for each workspace. A Free label in one workspace does not explain a bill from another, and deleting a personal page is not a billing action.
