Why this happens
A YouTube login identifies the viewing account, while the purchase may still be managed by an app store. Using the web cancellation screen for an Apple-managed purchase can leave you searching for a control that belongs elsewhere. Also distinguish Premium from separately billed channel memberships.
What to do
- Open YouTube Paid memberships and locate the Premium entry for the Google account in question.
- Compare its billing information with the receipt: use Apple Subscriptions for Apple billing, Google Play for a Play purchase, or YouTube's web controls for direct billing.
- Complete the matching flow and record the membership end date and confirmation.
Check the result
Check the same Premium entry afterward. A canceled channel membership or an unrelated Google subscription does not establish that Premium renewal has stopped.
