Before you cancel

Check whether access comes from your own subscription, Family Sharing, or Apple One Premier.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Apple News+

Purchased directly from Apple News+

  1. Open News on your iPhone and select Following.
  2. Scroll to the Manage area and open Subscriptions.
  3. If multiple subscriptions appear, select Apple News+.
  4. Choose Cancel Subscription and finish the displayed confirmation. Save the resulting end date.
Open provider page

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Use the Apple subscription record to check the final expiry and any trial-specific effect.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Manage the Apple One subscription and review how a change affects its other included services.

Does cancelling a publication channel cancel News+?

They can appear as separate entries. Select Apple News+ itself when that is the subscription you want to end.
