How to Cancel Docusign Subscription

Stop Docusign renewal using the route for your purchase channel and preserve needed documents before account closure.

Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Docusign

Purchased directly from Docusign

  1. Sign in as the account administrator and confirm whether the plan was bought online, through sales or through an app store.
  2. For an online plan, open Admin and Plan and Billing, then Manage Your Subscription.
  3. Use the stop-renewal instructions linked from the official cancellation guide and review the effective date.
  4. Complete confirmation; contact the sales representative for a sales-managed contract.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Docusign, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Docusign, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Downgrading, stopping renewal and closing the account have different document-access effects. Download needed documents before choosing closure.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Why is subscription management unavailable?

A non-admin role, sales-managed plan, store purchase or pending plan change can affect available controls. Check the official troubleshooting guide before submitting another change.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
