Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Dropbox Sign
Purchased directly from Dropbox Sign
- Sign in to Dropbox Sign and open your initials at the upper right.
- Choose Settings and open Billing.
- Select Cancel plan and complete confirmation.
- Keep the cancellation email and review the account’s access end date.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The paid account moves to free after the billing period. Signed documents remain accessible under the free account; deleting the account is a separate action.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Does this cancel my Dropbox storage plan too?
No. Dropbox Sign is a separate product. Check each product named on your invoices before assuming all Dropbox-related billing has stopped.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
