Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel HubSpot
Purchased directly from HubSpot
- As a Super Admin or billing admin, open the account name and Account & Billing.
- Choose Subscriptions, then Cancel auto-renewal in Auto-Renewal Terms.
- Select all products you intend to cancel and review the affected features.
- Finish the reason and confirmation screens and save the renewal-end date.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Cancellation applies at the end of the commitment term. Monthly invoices within an annual contract can continue until that term ends.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Does paying monthly mean I can end the contract each month?
No. Billing frequency and contract length are separate. Check the commitment term in Account & Billing.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
