How to Cancel Kit Subscription

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Kit
Purchased directly from Kit
- Open Settings, then Account & Billing, and review the paid plan and next bill.
- Decide whether you want to retain a free account or close the paid account.
- Contact help@kit.com or the in-app support messenger and request the chosen change.
- Save written confirmation of the target plan, billing end date and any refund request.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- A lower paid subscriber tier still bills you. The billing guide says canceled accounts remain active through the last day of the billing period.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Is reducing my subscriber count enough to stop billing?
No. Subscriber count affects the tier; it does not by itself cancel the subscription. Confirm a free plan or completed cancellation.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
