How to Cancel Headway Subscription

Cancel Headway through its account page for website purchases, or through Apple or Google for purchases made inside the app.

Before you cancel

Locate the receipt and original sign-in email. A subscription bought through a web offer is not necessarily listed in your phone’s app store.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Headway

Purchased directly from Headway

  1. Open the Headway Account page from the official cancellation article.
  2. Sign in with the same account credentials used in the Headway app.
  3. Disable the subscription’s automatic renewal and complete the displayed confirmation.
  4. Save its status and end date. If you forgot the password, use the app’s password-reset flow.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Headway, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Headway, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Use the provider’s confirmation to check when the canceled plan expires.
  • Removing the app does not establish that automatic renewal is off.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
