How to Cancel HEY Subscription

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel HEY
Purchased directly from HEY
- On the desktop website, open app.hey.com/accounts and select your HEY address.
- Use Export Your Data to save what you need.
- Open Billing & Invoices, then Close your account.
- Choose OK, cancel my subscription to end renewal and keep access until the paid term ends.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The additional Close This Account action ends access immediately. HEY says closed-account data is retained for 30 days before deletion.
Cancellation and refunds
For a recent renewal refund, HEY asks for the account to be closed, not merely its subscription canceled. Contact support from your backup email and weigh the loss of access before choosing immediate closure.

Why do the controls mention closing the account?
The first cancellation confirmation preserves the remaining subscription time. The later close-account confirmation is the immediate shutdown action; read each screen before continuing.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
