How to Cancel JetBrains / PhpStorm Subscription

Cancel a personal PhpStorm or other JetBrains product subscription in your JetBrains Account. A license assigned by an employer needs an organization billing administrator.

Before you cancel

Check the exact product and license entry. If a bundle covers several IDEs, confirm which subscription you are ending before proceeding.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel JetBrains / PhpStorm

Personal JetBrains subscription

  1. Sign in to the account holding the paid license.
  2. Locate the relevant subscription and select Cancel subscription.
  3. Confirm the action in the dialog.
  4. Record the Billing date shown in the subscription details.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The subscription remains usable until the current billing period finishes.
  • Letting it expire breaks the continuity discount; later renewal may be at the full renewal price.

Cancellation and refunds

JetBrains does not automatically refund a cancellation. Submit a separate request; eligibility is reviewed individually.

Common questions

Does returning a company license cancel the company bill?

Do not assume so. Ask the organization administrator to check the commercial subscription.

What if I only want a different IDE or billing cycle?

JetBrains offers subscription changes separately. Compare that option before canceling the existing license.
