How to Cancel Setapp Subscription
Setapp membership is managed from your Setapp account. Uninstalling the desktop app is not the same as ending the subscription.

Before you cancel
Check whether the receipt is for the Setapp membership or an individual app purchase. Export work from apps you may lose access to.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Setapp
Setapp membership
- Sign in and open the Subscription page.
- Choose Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription at the bottom.
- Answer the cancellation questions and confirm.
- Keep the end date displayed for your membership.
Single-app subscription
- Open Purchases and select the individual app.
- Go to Subscription settings and cancel that subscription.
Use this route only for a separately billed single-app purchase.

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Membership stays active until the current billing period finishes.
- After deactivation the apps may remain installed, but the Setapp membership no longer provides access to them.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation stops renewal; it does not by itself return a previous payment. Ask the company that billed you to review the charge and provide its current refund terms.
Common questions
Does deleting Setapp from my Mac end payment?
No. Use account subscription controls first and record the confirmation.
Will this cancel another app subscription bought elsewhere?
No. Match each separately billed subscription to its own receipt and seller.
