How to Cancel MEGA Subscription

Cancel MEGA renewal in Settings and Plan, or through the app store on your receipt. Separate MEGA products can have their own subscriptions.

Before you cancel

Check your plan type and storage usage. Save essential files outside the account before reducing paid storage.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel MEGA

Purchased directly from MEGA

  1. In a desktop browser, sign in to MEGA and click your profile image.
  2. Open Settings, then Plan.
  3. Choose Cancel subscription and Continue cancellation, then complete the prompts.
  4. Verify that automatic renewal is no longer scheduled.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select MEGA, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select MEGA, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • MEGA says paid features remain available until the current billing period ends.
  • Review other subscriptions separately, including Business, VPN, or Pass.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Why is there no Cancel subscription button?

MEGA says a non-renewing plan has no cancel control. Check the plan and account against the receipt.

Can I manage Pro Flexi in the mobile app?

The official cancellation article says Pro Flexi cannot currently be managed from the mobile apps.
