How to cancel The Motley Fool
Purchased directly from The Motley Fool
- Check the receipt for the exact premium service and account email.
- Contact membersupport@fool.com from the associated email address.
- List each subscription whose renewal you want stopped.
- Keep the reply confirming the services affected, their end dates and any applicable refund decision.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The support guidance asks paid subscribers to cancel subscriptions before requesting account deletion. Removing a profile is a separate privacy action.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Will closing one premium service close every Motley Fool subscription?
Identify all services explicitly in your request and confirm the status of each; do not assume a request for one applies to all.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
