How to Cancel Nintendo Switch Online Subscription
End Nintendo Switch Online renewal using the Nintendo Account that purchased the membership. A family member who did not buy it cannot change the payer’s renewal setting.

Before you cancel
Check the membership type and expiry date. Tell other family-group members if you are ending the plan they rely on.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Nintendo Switch Online
Nintendo Account website
- Sign in with the Nintendo Account that bought the membership.
- Open Nintendo Switch Online and select the membership under Valid Memberships.
- Choose Terminate automatic renewal and confirm.
- Review the updated renewal setting and record the expiry date.
Nintendo Switch eShop
- Open Nintendo eShop using the purchasing account.
- Open the user icon to see account information, then Nintendo Switch Online.
- Choose Terminate Automatic Renewal and check the confirmation.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Turning off renewal lets the current membership run to its end.
- Membership type changes and refund requests are separate from this renewal setting.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation stops renewal; it does not by itself return a previous payment. Ask the company that billed you to review the charge and provide its current refund terms.
