How to Cancel Notability Subscription
Cancel an Apple-billed Notability plan through Apple. Business subscriptions also have in-product billing controls.

Before you cancel
Check Notability Settings, then Manage Subscription for the current plan. Match it to the receipt before choosing the purchase route.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Notability
Billed by Apple
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Select Notability, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
- Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.
A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.
Open provider pageNotability for Business
- Sign in to the Business account at notability.com/app.
- Open Settings, then Billing, and choose Cancel Subscription; complete the confirmation.
- In the app, use Settings, then Manage Subscription to find the same Business plan controls.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Save the final access date shown by the billing provider.
- Canceling a plan and deleting notes or an account are separate decisions; back up important notes before changing access.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Why does Notability show Starter despite payment?
Confirm the Apple Account on the receipt; the app offers Restore Plan under Manage Subscription.
