How to Cancel Playground AI Subscription

Playground web purchases are canceled on its website. An iOS purchase must be canceled through Apple subscription settings.

Before you cancel

Check the purchase email, billing provider, renewal date and account owner. Save any files or records you need before changing the plan.

How to cancel Playground AI

Purchased directly from Playground AI

  1. Sign in at Playground.com using the account on the receipt.
  2. Open Account at the bottom left and choose Cancel subscription.
  3. Complete the cancellation and save the scheduled end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Playground AI, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • The paid plan ends when its current term finishes. Previously created images remain accessible on the Free plan.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Can I cancel a website purchase inside the mobile app?

Playground says mobile-app cancellation controls are not available for this. Use the website for direct billing or Apple Settings for an Apple purchase.

How do I confirm cancellation?

Save the final canceled status or scheduled end date, together with the confirmation email. A request awaiting a reply is not a completed cancellation. Compare any later charge with that record and the original receipt.
