How to Cancel Pocket Casts Subscription

Cancel Pocket Casts Plus or Patron through its original purchase platform and save uploaded cloud files before expiry.

Before you cancel

Download any files stored in Pocket Casts cloud: they are deleted when the paid subscription runs out.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Pocket Casts

Purchased directly from Pocket Casts

  1. For a website purchase, sign in to the web player or desktop app.
  2. Open the profile icon and select your email to reach the Profile screen.
  3. Choose Cancel Subscription and complete the prompts.
  4. Save the expiry date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Pocket Casts, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Pocket Casts, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Paid features last through the purchased period, then the account becomes a free sync account. Local downloaded files remain.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Will my folders and bookmarks be deleted?

They become unavailable after expiry but return if you resubscribe; cloud-uploaded files have a separate deletion rule.

Does uninstalling stop payment?

No. Complete cancellation on the platform used to buy the subscription.
