Before you cancel

Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Railway

Purchased directly from Railway

  1. Select the workspace you intend to close or downgrade.
  2. Open Billing and locate Active Plan.
  3. Choose Cancel Plan.
  4. Review the effect on deployments, complete confirmation and save the billing end date.
Open provider page

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Railway says cancellation stops all deployments in the workspace to prevent further charges, while the plan remains active until the billing-cycle end. Review usage already accrued.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Common questions

Is a workspace subscription the only possible charge?

Railway pricing includes both the plan fee and resource usage. Check the final usage and invoice alongside the canceled plan.

What should I keep after canceling?

Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
