How to Cancel Render Workspace Plan Subscription
Downgrade a Render Scale organization while distinguishing its workspace plan from paid compute resources.

Before you cancel
Check the email on your receipt, the plan you purchased, and the next billing or order date. Sign in to that account before making changes.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Render Workspace Plan
Purchased directly from Render Workspace Plan
- As Org Owner, open Workspaces and find the Primary workspace.
- Use its three-dot menu, then Workspace settings and Billing.
- Select the target plan, such as Hobby, and review the required prerequisites.
- Resolve secondary-workspace and identity-configuration requirements, then confirm the downgrade.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The organization configuration is removed and the primary workspace continues independently. A free workspace plan does not by itself establish that paid compute or storage resources have stopped billing.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.
Common questions
Will moving to Hobby automatically eliminate every Render charge?
Do not assume so. Review active services and accrued usage separately; Render bills service usage and amounts already incurred.
What should I keep after canceling?
Save the final confirmation, the effective date and any remaining order or term details. If another charge appears, compare it with this record and ask the provider to explain it.
