How to Cancel Resume.io Subscription

Resume.io offers a cancellation lookup by email as well as account settings. When using the lookup, finish the confirmation sent to your inbox.

Before you cancel

Find the email address used at checkout. Save the latest receipt and download the resume or cover letter you want to retain.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Resume.io

Cancel using your email address

  1. Open the contact page and choose Cancel Subscription.
  2. Search for the account with your purchase email and request cancellation.
  3. Open the resulting email and complete its confirmation steps.
  4. If the email is missing, check spam or try another purchase address before contacting support.

Already signed in

  1. Open your profile photo menu and Account Settings.
  2. Choose the downgrade option and complete the prompts.

The help page says six-month and yearly access purchases do not auto-renew, so those plans may have no downgrade control.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Your confirmation and last payment determine when premium access ends.
  • Canceling or downgrading differs from deleting the account and its documents.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation stops renewal; it does not by itself return a previous payment. Ask the company that billed you to review the charge and provide its current refund terms.

Will deleting the account remove my resumes?

Yes. Resume.io describes deletion as permanent. Use downgrade if you want to keep the account.
