How to Cancel Telegram Premium Subscription

Telegram Premium cancellation follows the original payment provider. A PremiumBot subscription uses a bot command; Apple and Google purchases use their stores.

Before you cancel

Check the Telegram account and original receipt. Multiple Telegram accounts can have separate subscriptions, so verify the correct one.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Telegram Premium

Purchased through PremiumBot

  1. Open the official @PremiumBot conversation in the account that subscribed.
  2. Send /stop and follow the bot’s response.
  3. Keep its confirmation and the remaining Premium end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. Open the Apple subscriptions list for the Apple Account on your receipt and select Telegram Premium.
  2. Choose the cancellation option, complete confirmation, and record the expiry date.

Use this route only when Apple billed the purchase. A website payment made on an iPhone is not necessarily an App Store subscription.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play subscriptions using the Google account on your receipt and select Telegram Premium.
  2. Complete cancellation and check the resulting subscription status.

If the plan is missing, compare the receipt with your other Google accounts before trying a different billing route.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Premium remains available until the paid period ends.
  • After expiry Premium features are removed, while the free Telegram features remain.

Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation stops renewal; it does not by itself return a previous payment. Ask the company that billed you to review the charge and provide its current refund terms.

Common questions

Will uninstalling Telegram cancel Premium?

No. Telegram says renewal continues even if you stop using or uninstall the app.

Will deleting my account cancel an Apple purchase?

No. Apple or Google subscriptions still need cancellation in the store account.
