How to Cancel TunnelBear Subscription

Cancel TunnelBear from the account Overview or original mobile store, then keep the confirmation.

Before you cancel

Check the exact plan’s renewal terms. Do not infer whether it renews solely from how many years were purchased.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel TunnelBear

Purchased directly from TunnelBear

  1. For direct billing, sign in to your TunnelBear account and open Overview.
  2. Choose Cancel, select a reason if requested, and confirm cancellation.
  3. Wait for the downgrade process to finish and save the confirmation email.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select TunnelBear, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select TunnelBear, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Unlimited access continues until the current subscription period ends.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

Does cancellation delete the account?

Subscription cancellation stops renewal; account removal is a separate request.

Who can cancel TunnelBear for Teams?

Only team administrators can cancel that team account; use the Teams instructions linked from support.
