Before you cancel
Export important responses and identify forms that depend on paid functionality. Check any unpaid invoice first.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel Typeform
Purchased directly from Typeform
- Open account settings and Plan + billing.
- Choose Change my plan, select Free, and continue.
- Complete the survey and submit it to confirm cancellation.
- Keep the scheduled Free-plan date shown in your account.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- The downgrade takes effect at the billing-period end. Forms using paid features become private trial forms; previously collected results remain available to view and download.
Cancellation and refunds
Typeform does not normally provide a refund or credit merely because you cancel before the billing period ends. Ask support about a disputed or incorrect charge.
Common questions
Will cancellation clear a failed invoice?
No. Typeform warns that collection attempts for an existing invoice can continue.
Are my collected results deleted?
The cancellation guide says existing results remain accessible and downloadable.
