How to Cancel beehiiv Subscription
Stop a paid beehiiv publisher plan by scheduling a downgrade to Launch. Buying a newsletter as a reader is a different subscription.

Before you cancel
Check whether the invoice is for publishing software or a paid newsletter. Review paid website and subscriber-limit requirements.
Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.
How to cancel beehiiv
Purchased directly from beehiiv
- Open Settings, Billing & Plan, then Change beside your current plan.
- Select the free Launch downgrade and continue through the review and survey.
- If offered a pause, continue to cancellation if you want renewal stopped permanently.
- Review the recap, choose Downgrade, acknowledge the change, and select Cancel my plan.
- Save the upcoming plan and start date shown in billing.
Make sure renewal has stopped
Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.
If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.
What happens after cancellation?
- Publisher access lasts to term end; the Launch downgrade retains account content. Check any newsletter-reader subscriptions separately.
Cancellation and refunds
Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

In Billing & Plan, use Unpause Plan, select Downgrade to Launch in the resume-plan menu, and confirm.
How do I cancel a newsletter I read?
Open that publication’s account page and select its free downgrade; verify the paid-access end date.
