How to Cancel Busuu Subscription

Cancel Busuu Premium on its purchase platform. A carrier-billed subscription may need the mobile provider or billing partner.

Before you cancel

Identify whether you paid directly, through PayPal, an app store, or a mobile carrier. Keep the subscription receipt available.

Match the account email, plan and billing provider to your latest receipt. Choose the route below that matches that purchase.

How to cancel Busuu

Purchased directly from Busuu

  1. Sign in on the Busuu website and open your profile picture, then Settings.
  2. Open the Subscription tab and select Cancel Premium.
  3. Choose a reason and finish with Cancel anyway.
  4. Save the final confirmation page and end date.

Billed by Apple

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Busuu, choose Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, and finish confirmation.
  3. Record the expiry date shown for the Apple Account on your receipt.

A purchase made with Apple Pay on a website is not necessarily an App Store subscription. Match the receipt before choosing this route.

Billed by Google Play

  1. Open Google Play with the Google account used for payment. Go to Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  2. Select Busuu, choose Cancel subscription, and complete the remaining prompts.
  3. Reopen the subscription and save its resulting status and end date.

If the subscription is missing, check other Google accounts and the purchase receipt. Installing an Android app does not establish who bills it.

Paid through PayPal or a mobile carrier

  1. For PayPal, follow Busuu’s linked instructions to remove its automatic payment.
  2. For carrier billing, find your country and partner in the official article, contact that biller, and obtain cancellation confirmation.

Make sure renewal has stopped

Return to billing after the last confirmation screen. Save the canceled status or scheduled end date, plus any confirmation email. A support request awaiting a reply is not the same as a completed cancellation.

If another charge appears, compare its payment date, account and plan with that record. Contact the billing provider with the relevant receipt and confirmation.

What happens after cancellation?

  • Premium remains available until the current subscription runs out.
  • Cancellation stops the next period’s renewal after successful confirmation.

Cancellation and refunds

Stopping renewal does not automatically reverse an earlier charge. If you want a payment reviewed, contact the billing provider using the receipt and cancellation confirmation. Ask which refund terms apply to that purchase.

No. Complete Cancel anyway and check the final confirmation.
